BIO
Taran Mitchell is an Irish composer based in London, working across film and television. He began his career at 14th Street Music, Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe's acclaimed production company, where he contributed additional music to a string of high-profile productions including Life On Our Planet, Dopesick, The Wheel of Time, Gran Turismo, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and the Paramount action feature Novocaine.
He went on to serve as additional music composer and score producer alongside Lorne Balfe on Sherwood (BBC), Hill (Sky), and The War Between the Land and the Sea (Disney+).
Since then, Taran has gone on to score Netflix's Alexander: The Making of a God, a critically acclaimed docu-drama chronicling the rise of Alexander the Great, with his latest project, The Lost Kingdom of Arabia, due later in 2026.
Beyond film and TV, Taran has written music for Nike, Adidas, and the FIFA World Cup, bringing the same energy and storytelling approach to global campaigns.
